Specific House Notes

We would appreciate that if there are any small maintenance issues during your stay, please let us know as we would like to get them attended to as soon as possible. If there are any potential health and safety issues, accidents, or issues with the heating, hot water or property security, then please report them immediately.

Dog Policy

If you have confirmed that you are bringing a well-behaved dog, please ensure that you do not allow your dogs to wander and that you clean up and dispose of any waste. Please bring your own dog equipment with you including doggy towels, as none are provided at the property.

Whilst the property welcomes dogs, we cannot guarantee that the external boundaries are completely dog proof and so guests must remain responsible for their pet’s safety and security at all times. If you have a smaller dog, that has a tendency to wander or chase wildlife, we recommend that you bring an extendable lead and supervise when in the garden. Dogs are not permitted to be left in the house alone at any time.

Arrival & Departure Times

Please remember that the property will not be ready until 4:00pm. If you do arrive early you will not be granted access to the property.  Given the current COVID -19 guidelines cleaning takes longer and must be conducted thoroughly. On departure day, you must depart from the property by 10.00am at the very latest.

Accessing the property. We will normally leave the property unlocked with the keys inside the door.  Please let us know if you’re arriving late or outside of your intended arrival times so we can make arrangements for you to access the property.

Additional Information

Linen & Towels

All our properties come complete with quality bed linen and bath towels. Beach towels are not provided please bring your own.

Laundering Linen

The linen used are of a high quality and professionally laundered. We do ask that guests try to avoid laundering bedsheets and towels themselves. If required, we can provide additional linen hire during your stay. Regrettably, if bedding and towels become damaged due to laundering within the property, the owners will make a charge for replacing.

Mattress Protectors

All our properties have mattress protectors. However, these are only waterproof to a degree and cannot withstand large amounts of liquid. If you have young children in your group who are prone to accidents, you are responsible to take extra measures to ensure that the mattress is sufficiently protected.

If a mattress does become soiled or damaged during your stay, please let Amanda know. Regrettably, you may be held liable for the cost of cleaning and or/replacing the mattress.

For Two Week Stays

If you have booked a two week stay then there is a clean at the end of the first week. We ask that you are out of the property during this time. This clean includes the bathrooms, kitchen and communal areas and you will be provided with clean linen and towels.

Bed Configurations

If you require any relevant bed configurations to be changed, we must be notified more than a week in advance of your arrival.

Equipment & services for children

This property has one high chair and one travel cot. We do not supply any bedding for travel cots so please bring this with you.

Accidents & Breakages

We understand accidents happen! If you experience any accidents or breakages during your stay, please notify us as soon as possible.  This will allow us to make replacements and preparations for the next set of guests. Your assistance in these matters is hugely appreciated so that all guests can enjoy the property fully.

Health & Safety

Upon arriving at the property, you will find the guest information folder on the kitchen worktop. This contains important information that you will need for your stay, including health and safety, what to do regarding waste disposal, Wi-Fi details, instructions for use of the facilities and everything you need to know about the local area.

Rubbish and recycling Collection

Please be aware that you are responsible for putting your rubbish and recycling into the bins that are provided for collection during your stay. Please familiarise yourself with the waste disposal instructions that are provided inside the guest information folder at the property.

If you accumulate an excess of recycling or rubbish over and above the recepticals provided , you are responsible of disposing of the waste. There are recycling points in Wadebridge should you wish to recycle.

Firework Ban

Regrettably we have to enforce that fireworks or any type of pyrotechnics must not be let off anywhere on or near the property’s grounds.

Concierge Services

Amanda is happy to provide suggestions and top tips on the local area including restaurants, cafes, locally sourced freezer meals and activities that are appropriate for you and your party.

Grocery Shopping Deliveries

Please do not order any on-line grocery shopping to be delivered until after your arrival. Regrettably, we cannot facilitate any deliveries and there may not be anyone at the house to receive your shopping. There are a number of very good local grocery shops that we can recommend to meet your needs.

Babysitting Services (if applicable)

We don’t offer babysitting ourselves but we can recommend a trustworthy local baby sitter. Any arrangements that you make are between you and the babysitter.

Electric Vehicles

We have newly installed an electric car charger for the convenience of EV vehicle owners. This is for our guests staying in either Mynford Cottage or Moyles Mill.

The lead can be found in the bedroom cupboard nearest to the kitchen, in Mynford, with the hoover/floor mop.

If you would like to charge your vehicle during your stay with us, then please ask us for the key card to unlock the charging station. There will be a reasonable charge for this which at present is £20 for each 24-hour period you are charging your car.

Under no circumstances are you to charge your electric car with an extension lead from the cottage, as we have found guests doing in the past, this is potentially a fire hazard. The Legal Stuff!

Holiday Insurance

We do recommend that you take out holiday insurance particularly to cover cancellation costs as the payment that you have now made is mainly non-refundable. The booking fee and any credit card charges that may have been applied is non-refundable. If we have booked any services for you, then these suppliers may also levy their own cancellation costs. Full details of the cancellation costs can be seen in our terms and conditions, on our website.

Departure Day

As a reminder, part of the booking conditions is that the property is left clean and tidy and that all the rubbish has been put into black bin bags, removed from the property and placed in the bins provided. The refuge companies will not collect any loose waste. All washing up is to be done, the sink and worktops are to be clear and the dishwasher put on for a cleaning cycle (you do not have to wait for the cycle to be completed as the dishwasher will be emptied by the Housekeeping company for you). Any excess sand or dog hair should be vacuumed up and the garden checked for any dog fouling and disposed of correctly. The barbecue is to be left clean. If you have used confetti, party poppers, or had balloons/decorations up then these all need to be taken down and removed from the property. Regrettably, if no attempt has been made to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition or if the barbecue has not been cleaned or if loose waste has been placed in the bins provided, there may be an additional housekeeping fee charged.

Departure time from the house and parking is by 10:00am.
